As Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations, Susan brings 35+ years of experience to SFG. She uses her vast experience as an advisor to lead the firm in navigating SEC regulatory requirements and structure operational procedures for day to day compliance. In her advisory role, Susan has worked with people in transition: into retirement, during retirement, analyzing elder care options, or providing estate-planning strategies. She has also helped many family members coordinate the closing and distribution of complex estates, and helps the next generation to avoid financial mistakes of the past. Susan especially enjoys working with women interested in developing and utilizing their financial skills. Her extensive knowledge and experience gives her the ability to integrate multiple facets of financial issues for the benefit of the client.
Susan graduated from Thiel College with her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish & French. She continued her education at Drexel University and attained her Master’s in Business Administration-Finance, with selected courses in the Masters in Taxation program. Susan also completed the College for Financial Planning Program, and earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. She also has her Chartered Financial Consultant™ (ChFC®) designation, and is a retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to joining StrategIQ Financial Group, LLC, Susan owned her own Registered Investment Advisor firm and tax practice, Kuczera & Associates, in Bloomingdale, IL. She gained extensive industry experience at several regional brokerage and insurance firms as well as compliance and regulatory experience while working with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and FINRA.
Susan is involved in her church and its efforts in supporting the local community, to create a stable, healthy and value-driven environment for all families. She and her husband managed a three-year capital campaign to successfully reduce a $1 million mortgage by half. She was also involved in the development of the Senior Solutions Group of Chicagoland, an organization of professionals dedicated to the needs of seniors and their families.
Susan is happily married, has one daughter, and two grandchildren. She enjoys singing, golfing, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
