Do you want your refund sooner rather than later? Combining direct deposit with electronic filing is the fastest and safest way for you to receive your refund (typically less than 21 days from date of filing). With direct deposit, your refund will go directly into your designated bank account so you won't have to wait for a check to be mailed to you. If you are unsure how to e-file, here are several options to review:

1. IRS Free File;
2. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs;
3. Tax preparation software; or
4. Tax professionals
