Debby serves in multiple roles for the IQ Companies. She brings 35+ years of accounting experience to SFG. In her role as Chief Financial Officer of SFG, Debby directs the internal financial and accounting affairs of SFG. As President of StrategIQ Tax and Business Services, LLC (STBS), an accountancy firm affiliated with but separate from SFG, Debby is directly involved in the provision of accounting and tax services to clients and directs STBS’s team of accounting and tax professionals. Through STBS, Debby provides controller functions for many business clients by assisting them in the management of their day-to-day operations. She enjoys navigating the complexity of tax-related issues that can be frightening and overwhelming at times for clients, and helps to put clients at ease. Debby’s hard work and dedication to making clients’ financial lives easier is what drives her passion.  

Debby graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in General Management, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. She continued her education at DePaul University where she attained her Masters of Science in Taxation. Prior to joining the SFG team, Debby owned her own public accounting business and provided in-house accounting for several privately held businesses. Debby has significant expertise in business and personal tax planning, IRS and state audit issues, entity selection and taxation, employee stock ownership plans, tax return review and business operations.  

Debby is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She also served as President and Treasurer of Civitan, and is a previous member of Lakeshore Business and Professional Women’s Organization. Debby enjoys helping people. Her hobbies include fishing and gardening and she is an avid Chicago Cubs supporter.
